The Army Medical Department (AMEDD) DoD/VA Program Office (ADVPO) serves as the Army Medicine’s principal coordination element with the Department of Defense; Sister Services, Veterans Health Administration (VHA) and the integrator of interaction with other external agencies. In concert with a cadre of AMEDD subject matter experts and healthcare professionals, we perform detailed analysis of DoD and VHA policy and sharing initiatives in support of Army equities. We create capacity by facilitation of Regional Health Command and facility level resource sharing. We enhance diplomacy by integrating strategic communications on key topics with diverse, high level stakeholders to include: DoD, the Office of Management and Budget (OMB); the Government Accountability Office (GAO); and Congress.
The purpose of this website is to provide information on policies and legislation related to the DoD/VA Healthcare Resource Sharing Program, as well as the US Army Medical Command (USAMEDCOM) policies that govern the implementation of the program.
